About Interval Training
Interval sports training has three main variables that can be changed to alter the nature of the session, namely the frequency, the intensity and the time (of the effort and the recovery). A good coach will vary these in a manner that makes the session specific to the demands of your event, while gradually adding progression by increasing the difficulty of subsequent sessions, thus ensuring that you continue to improve.
Understanding how to correctly design and implement an iron gym pull up bar training session is crucial knowledge that they are repeatedly attaining speeds that they would be unable to sustain in a single one-off burst. In doing so, their bodies adapt to the fatigue-inducing lactic acid that is produced and as a consequence they gradually become capable of tolerating faster running speeds for longer.
Similarly, long distance runners use home pull up bar training as a means of conditioning their bodies for sustained periods of hard effort. Their running phases tend to be longer, but at a slower pace, than middle distance runners, but the interval between each phase is still insufficient to allow full recovery. During most sessions, the pace sustained during the effort will be faster than their race pace, but the duration will be less. However, sport scientists have shown that the cumulative effort of fast running and short recovery times has the potential to result in significant improvements in performance.
Fartlek Training
Although many running athletes and coaches undertake interval training in a formalized way, with set times and distances for pull up bar door frame and recovery, a less formal method is known as ‘fartlek' training, a Swedish term that means ‘speed play'. This is a simple way of combining high intensity efforts into a ‘normal' steady run. The athlete increases the pace and effort during the run, then slow down for a short period of time to recover, but still continue his or her running. This adds both increased intensity and variety to a run, and can either be structured or you can simply decide when to run fast and when to recover.
